Information on Personal Data Processing

Národní organizace pro ověřování pravosti léčiv, z.s., IN: 05851742, with its registered office at Pobřežní 620/3, Karlín, 186 00 Prague, registered in the Associations Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under ref. no. L 67982 (hereinafter referred to as “NOOL“) is committed to observing the rules and principles of the protection of natural persons in connection with the processing of their personal data. NOOL considers all personal data confidential and processes them in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data and on free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”).

In compliance with Article 13 of the Regulation, NOOL hereby provides information about the processing of personal data that takes place within the scope of NOOL's activities.

Which personal data are processed and why 

  • Processing of personal data of visitors to the NOOL website

Purpose of processing: to answer questions and to process and handle requests of the visitors of NOOL’s website.

Legal basis for processing: NOOL’s legitimate interest in communicating with the general public.

Scope of processed personal data: name, surname, e-mail address and possibly other personal data provided by the data subject in the contact form. 

Reason for providing data: NOOL cannot answer questions without having personal data.

Duration of processing: while handling the question and six months after the question was handled for the purposes of keeping records of, and evaluating, questions and for the purposes of potential additional necessary communication regarding the matter.

  • Processing of personal data of a person who has scanned a potentially falsified medicinal product

Purpose of processing: identification of the person who scanned the potentially falsified medicinal product.

Legal basis for processing: processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject / processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

Scope of the personal data processed: name, surname, permanent address and date of birth.

Recipient of the personal data: Státní ústav pro kontrolu léčiv (State Institute for Drug Control).

Duration of processing: 6 months

  • Processing of personal data of end-users of the national NSOL system

Purpose of processing: identification of end-users of the national NSOL system.

Legal basis for processing: the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party.

Scope of the personal data processed: name, surname, permanent address, date of birth and e-mail address.

Duration of processing: for the duration of the contract between NOOL and the data subject, and for 2 years after its termination.

The data subject’s rights

The data subject has the right of access to his or her personal data that NOOL processes, the right of personal data rectification or erasure, the right of processing restriction and the right of personal data portability.

The data subject can exercise these rights electronically at info@czmvo.cz, by calling +420 224 834 153 or in writing at NOOL’s registered office shown above. The data subject can also file a complaint concerning the processing of his or her personal data at the Office for the Protection of Personal Data or at any other competent supervising authority.

Right to object 

Since personal data are processed based on the legitimate interest, the data subject has the right to object to the processing of his or her personal data on grounds relating to his or her particular situation described in the objection. The data subject can exercise these rights electronically at info@czmvo.cz, by calling +420 224 834 153 or in writing at NOOL’s registered office shown above.
